Award Winning Vineyard Unveils Restaurant and Art Gallery

13 November 2025

Visitors to the Bellarine Peninsula can soon enjoy a new dining and cultural experience at Quiddity Place at the award-winning Oakdene Vineyards, with the new Hidden Frog restaurant and the Tin Liz Gallery which showcases First Peoples art.

Member for Bellarine Alison Marchant today announced the new restaurant and gallery will officially open on 19 November, supported by more than $2 million investment through the Regional Tourism Investment Fund.

Overlooking the magnificent view of Swan Bay to Queenscliff, the new venues will provide a welcome destination for wine, food and art lovers.

Oakdene Vineyards is a boutique, family-owned vineyard featuring a cellar door, restaurant, café, accommodation and gardens.

The new Hidden Frog restaurant can host up to 150 patrons in its relaxed atmosphere immersed in unique artwork inside or relaxing in the beautifully landscaped outdoor gardens. The ‘modern Australian with European flair’ cuisine is matched to the range of award winning Oakdene wines.

The new Tin Liz Gallery will showcase the owner’s extensive collection of First Peoples art, as well as serve as a platform for local artists. It will also operate as a function centre that can host up to 150 patrons, boosting capacity for local events.

In June 2024, Oakdene won the Premier’s Trophy at the Victorian Wine Show for its 2022 Oakdene Liz’s Chardonnay and in 2025 achieved a Halliday Wine Companion 5 Red Star rating.

The new restaurant and art gallery will be a massive drawcard to Barwon South West. In the six months ending June 2025, almost 5.3 million visitors spent $1.8 billion in the region and stayed more than 6.3 million nights.

To me, Quiddity is so much more than a property. It’s the legacy my parents, now both in their 80s, wish to leave behind - for the world, and for me. They’ve poured their hearts and souls into every detail. Working so closely with them has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.”
